    Sammanfattning : Aspects of ion transport in rat submandibular gland acinar cells at the subcellular level, and the regulation of chloride secretion and calcium mobilization in cultured pig tracheal gland acinar cells were studied with reference to the disease cystic fibrosis.In adult rat submandibular gland acinar cells, both cholinergic and α-adrenergic stimulation induced efflux of K+ and of C1-, but the response was generally less with α-adrenergic stimulation.     Sammanfattning : When blood is exposed to foreign materials or injured tissue, several defense systems are activated. The contact with an artificial surface leads to activation of FXII, the first proenzyme of the plasma contact activation system, with concomitant triggering of the intrinsic coagulation and also the fibrinolytic-, kallikrein- and complement systems.     Sammanfattning : Background: Hereditary angioedema (HAE) due to C1-inhibitor deficiency, type I and II, is a rare disease with an estimated prevalence of 1/50,000. Angioedema in the larynx can be life threatening and angioedema in the abdomen and skin can give severe and disabling pain. Data on patients with HAE in Sweden were scarce before our study. LÄS MER
