11. New Applications of Monoorganocopper/Iodotrimethylsilane Reagents in Conjugate Additions
Sammanfattning : The thesis reports new applications of monoorganocopper compounds, RCu(LiI), and iodotrimethylsilane in conjugate additions. The present investigation demonstrates conjugate addition of alkylcopper compounds and iodotrimethylsilane to reactive .alpha.,. LÄS MER
12. Catecholaminergic neurotransmission in heart and brain : development of tracers for positron emission tomography
Sammanfattning : The catecholamines norepinephrine and its biosynthetic precursor dopamine are two principal neurotransmitters in the human central nervous system (CNS). Moreover, norepinephrine is a major transmitter substance in the peripheral, autonomic nervous system. LÄS MER
13. Platinum(II) and Palladium (II) Complexes with Group 14 and 15 Donor Ligands. Synthesis, Structure and Substitution Mechanisms
Sammanfattning : The present thesis deals with Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes with group 14 and 15 donor ligands. Such complexes have been prepared and investigated mainly with regard to their ground state structures and the mechanism according to which they undergo substitution. LÄS MER
14. Innovative Polymer Hosts for Solid Lithium-ion Battery Electrolytes
Sammanfattning : Current electrolytes used in lithium ion batteries are flammable and volatile organic liquids that are fundamentally unstable at the operational voltage of the cells, posing a significant safety risk. A practical approach to get over this obstacle is to substitute the liquid electrolyte solution with a solid (solvent-free) polymer electrolyte (SPE), which is a solution of a lithium salt in a solid polymer matrix. 15. Heck Reactions with Aryl Chlorides : Studies of Regio- and Stereoselectivity
Sammanfattning : Homogeneous palladium-catalyzed Heck vinylation of aryl chlorides was investigated under air using Herrmann’s palladacycle and the P(t-Bu)3-liberating salt [(t-Bu)3PH]BF4. Based on the results, controlled microwave heating was utilized to accelerate model Heck reactions with aryl chlorides down to 30 min employing an electron-poor olefin and a mixture of an ionic liquid and 1,4-dioxane as solvent.
