21. On Evaluating Test Techniques in an Industrial Setting
Sammanfattning : Testing is a costly and an important activity in the software industry today. The systems are becoming more complex and the amount of code is constantly increasing. The majority of systems need to rely on its testing to show that it works, is reliable, and performs according to user expectations and specifications. LÄS MER
22. Hierarchical Variance Reduction Techniques for Monte Carlo Rendering
Sammanfattning : Ever since the first three-dimensional computer graphics appeared half a century ago, the goal has been to model and simulate how light interacts with materials and objects to form an image. The ultimate goal is photorealistic rendering, where the created images reach a level of accuracy that makes them indistinguishable from photographs of the real world. LÄS MER
23. How to Regulate Information and Communications Technology? : A Jurisprudential Inquiry into Legislative and Regulatory Techniques
Sammanfattning : ICT transformations digitalisation, computerisation and distributed networks have enabled emergence of new goods, services and applications that have changed the way behaviours are conducted. Moreover, ICT goods have been transformed into services, blurring established legal categories. LÄS MER
24. Immobilization and Interaction of Biomolecules at the Solid-Liquid Interface : Applications to Solid-Phase Analytical Techniques
Sammanfattning : The development of solid-phase-analytical techniques based on surface-concentration-measuring devices requires a stable and reproducible immobilization of biomolecules on well-characterized solid surfaces. This study reports on the immobilization of Immunoglobulin G, Protein A and Fibronectin on chemically modified silica surfaces. LÄS MER
25. Laser-Based Techniques for Combustion Diagnostics
Sammanfattning : Two-photon-induced Degenerate Four-Wave Mixing, DFWM, was applied for the first time to the detection of CO, and NH3 molecules. Measurements were performed in a cell, and in atmospheric-pressure flames. In the cell measurements, the signal dependence on the pressure and on the laser beam intensity was studied. LÄS MER
