16. Molecular phylogenetics and taxonomic issues in dragonfly systematics (Insecta: Odonata)
Sammanfattning : Dragonflies (Odonata) are one of the ancestral groups of extant insects. They represent one of the three most basal branches in the phylogeny of winged insects. The other two groups are the Ephemeroptera, mayflies, and Neoptera, the latter which covers the remaining winged insects. LÄS MER
17. Evolutionary relationships within the Lysimachia complex : with special emphasis on Anagallis
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on Anagallis, an herbaceous genus with a distribution mainly in (sub-) tropical Africa, Madagascar or South America. A few species are found in drier climate. Anagallis is considered close to Lysimachia, separated based on mode of capsule dehiscence. LÄS MER
18. Phylogenetic and taxonomic studies within Arthonia Ach. (Ascomycetes, Arthoniales)
Sammanfattning : The taxonomy and phylogeny of the genus Arthonia was analysed. As a first step, a phylogenetic analysis was performed to test the monophyly of some of the infrageneric groups suggested by earlier authors. The results strongly support that Arthonia, Arthothelium and Arthoniaceae are paraphyletic. LÄS MER
19. The Genus Amomum (Zingiberaceae) in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam : Taxonomy and Ethnobotany, with Special Emphasis on Women's Health
Sammanfattning : The species of Amomum Roxb. (Zingiberaceae) in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam are revised. Thirty-five species and two varieties are recognised, all names are typified, and detailed descriptions and a key are provided. Nine new species are described and one species is validated. LÄS MER
20. Botanical Repellents and Pesticides Traditionally Used Against Haematophagous Invertebrates in Lao PDR
Sammanfattning : Haematophagous parasites and disease vectors such as leeches, ticks, mites, lice, bed bugs, mosquitoes, and myiasis-causing fly larvae are common health problems in Lao Peoples Democratic Republic (Lao PDR). A main aim of my field work in Lao PDR in 2006-2010 was to document traditional knowledge among different ethnic groups about plants that people use to repel or to kill blood-feeding invertebrates.
