    Sammanfattning : The Laboulbeniales is an order of enigmatic ascomycete fungi that are obligate microscopic parasites of arthropods, which are usually non-detrimental. They typically display a high degree of host specificity, and the genus Coreomyces, which is the recurring theme of this thesis, is no exception. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The Genus Amomum (Zingiberaceae) in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam : Taxonomy and Ethnobotany, with Special Emphasis on Women's Health

    Författare :Vichith Lamxay; Lars Björk; Axel Dalberg Poulsen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Amomum; Zingiberaceae; Flore du Cambodge du Laos et du Vietnam; Taxonomy; Ethnobotany; Postpartum; Mother roasting; Hotbed; Brou; Saek; Kry; Lao PDR; Organism biology; Organismbiologi; Systematics and phylogenetics; Systematik och fylogeni; Biology with specialization in Systematics; Biologi med inriktning mot systematik;

    Sammanfattning : The species of Amomum Roxb. (Zingiberaceae) in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam are revised. Thirty-five species and two varieties are recognised, all names are typified, and detailed descriptions and a key are provided. Nine new species are described and one species is validated. LÄS MER

    Författare :Stina Weststrand; Petra Korall; Michael J. Donoghue; Uppsala universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Selaginellaceae, spikemosses, is a heterosporous plant family belonging to the lycophytes. With an estimated age of some 350 million years, the family is historically important as one of the oldest known groups of vascular plants. Selaginellaceae is herbaceous with a worldwide distribution. However, the majority of the ca. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Patterns and Processes of Evolution in Sundaland

    Författare :Robert-Jan den Tex; Jennifer A. Leonard; Lawrence R. Heaney; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Biology; Biologi; Systematics and phylogenetics; Systematik och fylogeni; Genetics; Genetik; Biology with specialization in Evolutionary Genetics; Biologi med inriktning mot evolutionär genetik;

    Sammanfattning : Biodiversity in the tropics is disproportionately high compared to other habitats, and also under disproportionate threat from human impact. It is necessary to understand how this diversity evolved and how it is partitioned across space in order to preserve it. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Systematics of Woodsia : Ferns, bioinformatics and more

    Författare :Anders Larsson; Petra Korall; Mats Thulin; Anne Krag Brysting; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ferns; Eupolypods II; Woodsia; phylogeny; biogeography; polyploidy; polyploid speciation; classification; alignment; Biologi med inriktning mot systematik; Biology with specialization in Systematics;

    Sammanfattning : Ferns are one of the three main clades of vascular plants. They have few easily studied morphological characters, reflected in a historically unstable classification. The fern genus Woodsia is known to have a complex evolutionary history including numerous polyploid taxa and hybrids. LÄS MER
