  1. 1. Decisional-Emotional Support System for a Synthetic Agent : Influence of Emotions in Decision-Making Toward the Participation of Automata in Society

    Författare :Javier Francisco Guerrero Razuri; Aron Larsson; David Sundgren; Rahim Rahmani; Alessandro Villa; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Affective Computing; Machine Learning; Adversarial Risk Analysis; Broaden and Build Theory; Facial Expression Recognition; Speech Emotion Recognition; Detection of Emotional Information; Emotional self-regulation; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Emotion influences our actions, and this means that emotion has subjective decision value. Emotions, properly interpreted and understood, of those affected by decisions provide feedback to actions and, as such, serve as a basis for decisions. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Fragile and magical interaction forms: an approach to interaction design aesthetics

    Författare :Hanna Landin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Interaction design; aestethics of interaction; interaction form; expressions of interaction; interaction design methods;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with overlooked and perhaps undesired characteristics that may be induced when designing objects that contain computational technology. Aspects such as trust, dependency and anxiety have been explored through the development of a conceptual framework and through experimental design work, where theoretical and practical work have influenced each other, and affected each others result. 3. 3. Expressions of mercury-selenium interaction in vitro

    Författare :Peter Frisk; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Oncology; growth inhibition; inorganic mercury; interaction; organic mercury; selenite; selenomethionine; toxicity; uptake; Onkologi; Oncology; Onkologi; Biomedical Radiation Science; biomedicinsk strålningsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Interaction between mercury and selenium has previously been observed both in man and in animals. The aim of this work was to study expressions of interaction between mercury and selenium in human K-562 cells. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Expression in Live Coding: Gestural Interaction for Machine Musicianship

    Författare :Georgios Diapoulis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; music perception; live programming; liveness; music interaction; live coding; music information retrieval; gestural control; musical interfaces; expressive interaction; music performance;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is centered on the performance practice of musical live coding, which can be described as on-the-fly decision-making for computer music performance and blurs the lines between programming languages and computer interfaces. I specifically focus on live coding as a human activity based on serial skilled actions, and I discuss how we can interact gesturally with interfaces that are modified dynamically. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Socialization of verbal and nonverbal emotive expressions in young children

    Författare :Tove Gerholm; Christina Hellman; Gunilla Preisler; Karin Aronsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; language; socialization; interaction; emotive expressions; scaffolding; internalization; development; children; parents; siblings; Languages and linguistics; Språkvetenskap; General Linguistics; allmän språkvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The subject matter of this dissertation is children’s use and development of emotive expressions. While prior studies have either focused on facial expressions of emotions or on emotions in the social mechanisms of in situ interactions, this thesis opts to merge two traditions by applying an interactional approach to the interpretation of child–child and child–adult encounters.
