  1. 6. Efficient Spatiotemporal Filtering and Modelling

    Författare :Jörgen Karlholm; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis describes novel methods for efficient spatiotemporal filtering and modeling. A multiresolution algorithm for energy-based estimation and representation of local spatiotemporal structure by second order symmetric tensors is presented. The problem of how to properly process estimates with varying degree of reliability is addressed. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Geometry of interactions in ghost-free bimetric theory

    Författare :Mikica Kocic; Sayed Fawad Hassan; Tomi Koivisto; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Modified gravity; Interacting spin-2 fields; Bimetric theory; Massive gravity; teoretisk fysik; Theoretical Physics;

    Sammanfattning : The ghost-free bimetric theory is an extension to general relativity where two metric tensors are used instead of one. A priori, the two metrics may not have compatible notions of space and time, which makes the formulation of the initial-value problem problematic. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Local Signal Models for Image Sequence Analysis

    Författare :Jörgen Karlholm; Gösta Granlund; Patrick Bouthémy; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis describes novel methods for image motion computation and template matching.A multiscale algorithm for energy-based estimation and representation of local spatiotemporal structure by second order symmetric tensors is presented. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Development of NMR methods for studies of dynamics and structure : applications to motilin, Alzheimer β-peptide and ubiquitin

    Författare :Peter Damberg; Ad Bax; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biophysics; biofysik;

    Sammanfattning : NMR spin relaxation was used to study structure and dynamics of two biologically important peptides.The first case concerns the three-dimensional structure of the 22 amino acid residue peptide hormone motilin in the presence of SDS micelles, which mimic a biomembrane environment.
