  1. 1. Identified Hadron Production as a Function of Event Multiplicity and Transverse Spherocity in pp Collisions at √s = 7 and 13 TeV with the ALICE Detector

    Författare :Vytautas Vislavicius; Partikel- och kärnfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; LHC; ALICE; small systems; QGP; collectivity; multiplicity; spherocity; event shapes; pp collisions; Fysicumarkivet A:2018:Vislavicius;

    Sammanfattning : This study reports on identified hadron production as a function of event multiplicity (dNch/dη) and transverse spherocity (SO) in proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 and 13 TeV measured with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The particle spectra and their ratios measured in high-multiplicity events show signatures of an expanding medium. LÄS MER

  2. 2. ALPACA - A kinetic theory Monte Carlo event generator for heavy ion collisions

    Författare :Robin Törnkvist; Partikel- och kärnfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ALPACA; QCD effective kinetic theory; event generators; heavy-ion physics; Proton-proton collisions; small system collectivity; phenomemology;

    Sammanfattning : Recent measurements of collective effect-like signals in small collision systems has highlighted the need for new models to explain these phenomena. One good candidate for such a model is the AMY QCD effective kinetic theory, which is valid for systems in- and out-of-equilibrium. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Investigation of Quark Gluon Plasma-like signals with Lund string interactions

    Författare :Smita Chakraborty; Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; QCD; Phenomenology; Heavy-ion collisions; QGP-like signals; Proton-proton collisions; Jets; Fysicumarkivet A:2022:Chakraborty;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the interactions that occur in extreme densities for high-energy collisions of subatomic particles. The theoretical models developed for this purpose are based on the Lund model. The developments have been implemented as a new module called Gleipnir to the Monte-Carlo event generator, P YTHIA .
