1. Managing Multiplicity : On Control, Care and the Individual
Sammanfattning : This is a thesis about managing multiplicity. It analyses how people working in municipalities are managing, controlling, and caring for the complex and contradictory world they live in. Building on more than 100 interviews and observations, the thesis examines the multiple realities of those who work in public sector organisations. LÄS MER
2. Att anordna styrning : tillblivelse av en mångfald av styrteknologier
Sammanfattning : During the last couple of decades, management control studies have taken an increased interest in the multiplicity of management controls. Broadly speaking, research has focused on the consequences of management controls. However, research has rarely examined how a multiplicity of management controls comes to exist. LÄS MER
3. Identified Hadron Production as a Function of Event Multiplicity and Transverse Spherocity in pp Collisions at √s = 7 and 13 TeV with the ALICE Detector
Sammanfattning : This study reports on identified hadron production as a function of event multiplicity (dNch/dη) and transverse spherocity (SO) in proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 and 13 TeV measured with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The particle spectra and their ratios measured in high-multiplicity events show signatures of an expanding medium. LÄS MER
4. Aspects of Hadron Production in High-Energy Heavy-Ion Physics
Sammanfattning : High-energy heavy-ion collisions provide a unique tool for the study of nuclear matter as a function of temperature and density. WA98 at the CERN SPS recorded data with a 158 A GeV Pb beam on a Pb target in 1996. To cope with the high charged-particle density, a tracking system based on high granularity multi-step avalanche detectors was developed. LÄS MER
5. Characterising Emblematic Binaries at the Lowest Stellar and Substellar Masses
Sammanfattning : Stars are involved in most research fields of astronomy, ranging from studies of faraway galaxies, exploding supernovae, to more nearby exoplanets and even our own Sun. As such, it is paramount that our physical interpretation of stars is accurate. LÄS MER
