  1. 6. Incorporation of Departure Time Choice in a Mesoscopic Transportation Model for Stockholm

    Författare :Ida Kristoffersson; Leonid Engelson; Jan Lundgren; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Transport Modelling; Departure Time Choice; Dynamic Traffic Simulation; Time-Varying Congestion Charges; Peak Spreading; Reverse Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Travel demand management policies such as congestion charges encourage car-users to change among other things route, mode and departure time. Departure time may be especially affected by time-varying charges, since car-users can avoid high peak hour charges by travelling earlier or later, so called peak spreading effects. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Modelling of Factors Influencing Foot Ankle Responses and Injuries in Car Crashes

    Författare :Niklas Höglund; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; mathematical model; foot-ankle injuries; parameter study; toepan intrusion;

    Sammanfattning : Foot and ankle injuries in frontal car collisions are believed to be caused mainly by occupant contact with the floor and toepan, occupant interaction with the pedals, and the lower leg being deformed between the floor and knee bolster. A better understanding of the causes of foot and ankle injuries is required to design cars for improved safety of the legs. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Muscle Responses of Car Occupants: Numerical Modeling and Volunteer Experiments under Pre-Crash Braking Conditions

    Författare :Jonas Östh; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; feedback postural control; autonomous braking; electromyography; active muscle; anticipatory postural control; seat belt pre-tension; driver braking; human body model; finite element; occupant kinematics;

    Sammanfattning : Over 30 000 fatalities related to the road transport system are reported anually in Europe. Of these fatalities, the largest share is car occupants, even though significant improvements in vehicle safety have been achieved by the implementation of in-crash restraints and pre-crash driver support systems. 4. 9. Integration of car and road infrastructure design : crash severity and occupant injury risk evaluations in frontal real-world crashes

    Författare :Anders Ydenius; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : During the last decade, traffic safety has not only been a matter of vehicle crashworthiness but an increasing interest can also be observed in the integration between vehicle and road infrastructure design. Research projects with a focus on merging these areas are however in their infancy. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Non-fatal injuries to car occupants : injury assessment and analysis of impacts causing short- and long-term consequences with special reference to neck injuries

    Författare :Maria Krafft; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses non-fatal injuries leading to disability following motor vehicle collisions. The main focus is on minor (AIS 1) neck injuries, also called whiplash injuries. LÄS MER
