  1. 1. Fluid Dynamics of the Transport Zone of Circulating Fluidized Beds - with Application to Boilers

    Författare :Wennan Zhang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; fluid dynamics; particle flux probe; momentum probe; circulating fluidized bed boilers; circulating fluidized beds; particle flow pattern; particle concentration probe; spectrum analysis;

    Sammanfattning : The particle suspension flow structure in circulating fluidized beds (CFB) was studied with emphasis on the layer of downflowing particles at the wall. The main experiments were carried out in the furnace of the 12 MWth CFB boiler of 1.7x1.7 m cross-section, and in a two-dimensional CFB cold bed of 0. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Titan’s ionosphere and dust : – as seen by a space weather station

    Författare :Oleg Shebanits; Jan-Erik Wahlund; Wolf Dietrich Geppert; Olle Björneholm; Erik Vigren; Cesar Bertucci; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Titan; Cassini; Ionosphere; Dusty plasma; Ion-ion plasma; Langmuir probe; aerosols; tholins; Space and Plasma Physics; Rymd- och plasmafysik;

    Sammanfattning : Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, is the only known moon with a fully developed nitrogen-rich atmosphere, its ionosphere is detectable as high as 2200 km above its surface and hosts complex organic chemistry. Titan’s atmosphere and ionosphere has striking similarities to current theories of these regions around Earth 3.5 billion years ago. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Visible spectroscopic diagnostics : application and development in fusion plasmas

    Författare :Sheena Menmuir; Professor Elisabeth Rachlew-Källne; Lorella Carraro; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; visible spectroscopy; fusion; Doppler shift; Doppler broadening; Plasma physics with fusion; Plasmafysik med fusion;

    Sammanfattning : Diagnostic measurements play a vital role in experiments. Without them we would be in the dark with no way of knowing what was happening; of understanding the processes and behaviour occurring; or even of judging the success or failure of our experiments. The development of fusion plasma devices is no different. LÄS MER
