  1. 1. Trapezius muscle fatigue and electromyographic frequency analysis

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Författare :Tommy Öberg; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [1992]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; EMG; Spectrum; Frequency; Fatigue; Trapezius; Myalgia; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : This study, comprising 6 separate articles, is concerned with different validity and reliability aspects of the electromyogram mean power frequency (MPF) as an estimator of localized musele fatigue in the trapezius muscle. A series of new, and partly controversial and problematic findings are reported. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Strenght training and anabolic steroids a comparative study of the trapezius, a shoulder muscle and the vastus lateralis, a thigh muscle, of strength trained athletes

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Författare :Anders Eriksson; Umeå universitet.; [2006]
    Nyckelord :strength training; anabolic steroids; vastus lateralis; trapezius; enzymehistochemistry; immunohistochemistry; muscle fiber; myonuclei; satellite cell; Human Anatomy; anatomi;

    Sammanfattning : Strength training is widely used to increase performance in sports with high physical demands. The use of drugs such as anabolic steroids among athletes is a wellknown phenomenon, and the effects of these drugs on physical performance documented. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Morphological and electromyographical studies of trapezius myalgia in cleaners

    Detta är en avhandling från 1Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, University Hospital, 221 85 Lund

    Författare :Britt Larsson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2001]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; female cleaners; Trapezius myalgia; work-related; arbetsmiljömedicin; Yrkesmedicin; industrial medicine; Occupational health; morphological analysis and surface-EMG;

    Sammanfattning : Pathomechanisms of work-related myalgia are poorly understood. Myalgia is caused by exitation of nociceptors present in the muscular tissue but not in the muscle fibres themselves. Morphological analysis can contribute to knowledge of excitation of nociceptors. Surface EMG is a widely used method in the research field of ergonomics. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Effects of vibration on muscles in the neck and upper limbs with focus on occupational terrain vehicle drivers

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Samhällsmedicin och rehabilitering

    Författare :Charlotte Åström; Umeå universitet.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Electromyography; drivers; hand-arm vibration; trapezius; whole-body vibration; INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AREAS Caring sciences Physiotherapy; TVÄRVETENSKAPLIGA FORSKNINGSOMRÅDEN Vårdvetenskap Sjukgymnastik fysioterapi;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Occupational drivers of terrain vehicles are exposed to several risk factors associated with musculoskeletal symptoms in the lower back as well as in the neck and upper limbs. Vibration has been suggested to be a main risk factor. These drivers are exposed to both whole-body vibration (WBV) and hand-arm vibration (HAV). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Ambulatory Monitoring and Analysis of Surface Electromyographic Signals in Ergonomic Field Studies - Methods and Applications

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Samhällsmedicin och rehabilitering

    Författare :Leif Sandsjö; [2004]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Trapezius; ergonomic assessment tools; long-term recording; wearable systems; EMG; musculoskeletal disorders; work-related;

    Sammanfattning : Factors contributing to and the mechanisms behind the development of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are still not fully known. Increased knowledge in this area is necessary in order to recommend appropriate actions to counteract the increasing costs to society and reduce the individual suffering related to these problems.
