  1. 1. Patient empowerment during the transition to adulthood in young persons with chronic conditions

    Författare :Mariela Acuña Mora; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; chronic conditions; cross-sectional study; descriptive review; instrument development; longitudinal research; patient empowerment; transition; young persons;

    Sammanfattning : During the transition to adulthood and adult care young persons with chronic conditions (CCs) are in need of developing the skills necessary to manage their condition, communicate with the healthcare provider, participate in the decision-making process and become autonomous. In order to help them develop such skills, patient empowerment has been suggested as a relevant approach. LÄS MER

  2. 2. How to estimate environmental persistence : Understanding persistence of organic micropollutants in rivers from a multidisciplinary perspective

    Författare :Claudia Coll Mora; Anna Sobek; Matthew MacLeod; Emma J. Rosi; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; organic micropollutants; biodegradation; persistence; rivers; flume mesocosms; Junge relationships; OECD 308 bottle incubations; Applied Environmental Science; tillämpad miljövetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Organic micropollutants such as food additives, pharmaceuticals and personal care products are found in rivers worldwide. Persistence is a key criteria in chemical risk assessment as micropollutants that are persistent pose an exposure hazard to humans and the environment. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Highly-Efficient Energy Harvesting Interfaces for Implantable Biosensors

    Författare :Janko Katic; Ana Rusu; Saul Rodriguez; Gabriel Rincón-Mora; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy harvesting interface; thermoelectric generator; glucose biofuel cell; power management; dc-dc converter; boost converter; zero-current switching; zero-voltage switching; implantable biosensor; Energiskördsgränssnitt; termoelektrisk generator; glukosbiobränslecell; energihantering; DC-DC-omvandlare; boost-omvandlare; inplanterbar biosensor; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Energy harvesting is identified as an alternative solution for powering implantable biosensors. It can potentially enable the development of self-powered implants if the harvested energy is properly handled. This development implies that batteries, which impose many limitations, are replaced by miniature harvesting devices. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Households' Responses to Policy in Labor and Credit Markets
