21. The digital citizen as partner in eGovernance : ambitions and institutional realities
Sammanfattning : This cover paper summarizes the research conducted in the period from June 2011 to January 2013 as part of PhD work. It belongs to the field of eParticipation, often considered to be a sub-domain of the eGovernment field. LÄS MER
22. Multiscale materials design of hard coatings for improved fracture resistance and thermal stability
Sammanfattning : Physical vapor deposited hard coatings comprised of cubic (c) transition metal (TM)-Al-N, and (TM)-Si-N are the current workhorse materials for a large number of metal cutting and wear resistant applications to fight against the extreme conditions of temperature and stress simultaneously. In spite of a high degree of sophistication in terms of material choice and microstructural design, a lower fracture resistance and limited thermal stability of the coatings remains a technological challenge in the field. 23. Privacy preserving behaviour learning for the IoT ecosystem
Sammanfattning : IoT has enabled the creation of a multitude of personal applications and services for a better understanding and improvement of urban environments and our personal lives. These services are driven by the continuous collection and analysis of sensitive and private user data to provide personalised experiences. LÄS MER
24. Model uncertainty of design tools to analyze block stability
Sammanfattning : Block failure is one of the most common failure modes in tunnels. Design tools have some simplifications and, therefore, they also have some model uncertainties. The purpose of this licentiate thesis is to assess the model uncertainty for different design tools in order to estimate block stability. LÄS MER
25. A study of asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds in mathematical relativity
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of ve papers where certain problems arising in mathematical relativity are studied in the context of asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds. In Paper A we deal with constant mean curvature solutions of the Einstein-scalar field constraint equations on asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds.
