  1. 11. Rapakivi granite and basic dykes in the Fennoscandian shield : a palaeomagnetic analysis

    Författare :Mohsen Oveisy Moakhar; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Tillämpad geofysik; Applied Geophysics;

    Sammanfattning : Rapakivi rocks and basic dykes in the central part of Sweden have been subject to a palaeomagnetic study with the aim of putting the formation of these rocks into a plate tectonic context. Virtual geomagnetic poles were calculated and found to be distributed around the Jotnian Loop of the APWP of Fennoscandia. LÄS MER

  2. 12. From Cue to Recall : The Temporal Dynamics of Long-Term Memory Retrieval

    Författare :Robin Hellerstedt; Institutionen för psykologi; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; think no-think; memory intrusion; retrieval-induced forgetting; ERP; long-term memory; cued recall;

    Sammanfattning : A fundamental function of long-term memory is the ability to retrieve a specific memory when encountering a retrieval cue. The purpose of this dissertation was to further our understanding of such cued recall by investigating the temporal dynamics from the presentation of the retrieval cue until the target memory is recalled. 3. 13. Seismic structure of the central Svecofennian lithosphere

    Författare :Sebastian Buntin; Alireza Malehmir; Christopher Juhlin; Michał Malinowski; Raymond Durrheim; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Wide-angle reflection refraction seismic; near-vertical incidence seismic; Moho; crust-mantle boundary; saucer-shaped sill; BABEL; FENNOLORA; UPPLAND; Fennoscandian Shield; Bergslagen; Uppland Batholith; Geofysik med inriktning mot fasta jordens fysik; Geophysics with specialization in Solid Earth Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Lithospheric structures in the Fennoscandian Shield in Sweden have been studied by a number of large-scale wide-angle seismic reflection/refraction (WARR) and normal-incidence reflection profiles since the 1960s. Among these were the over 2000 km long Fennoscandian Long Range (FENNOLORA) project in 1979 and the Baltic and Bothnian Echoes from the Lithosphere (BABEL) in 1989, which provided valuable images of the subsurface down to over 60 km depth including the Moho. 4. 14. Utilizing a tectonic framework to constrain the mineral system and remobilization in the Kiruna mining district, Sweden

    Författare :Leslie Logan; Tobias E. Bauer; Fernando Tornos; Olof Martinsson; Paul Evins; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Kiruna; tectonic framework; mineral system; IOCG; IOA; remobilization; sulfur isotopes; trace elements; geochronology; Pahtohavare; Viscaria; Rakkurijärvi; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : The Kiruna mining district, located in the northern Norrbotten ore province, Sweden, is a geologically and economically important area, being the type-locality for Kiruna iron oxide-apatite (IOA) deposits and also host to a variety of other deposits including syngenetic stratiform exhalative Cu-(Fe-Zn) (Viscaria, Eastern Pahtohavare), epigenetic stratabound Cu ± Au (Pahtohavare), and iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG, Rakkurijärvi) deposits. However, the timing of IOA versus IOCG within the tectonic evolution is in question based on structural investigations showing Cu- and Fe-sulfides occur in late-orogenic structures. LÄS MER

  5. 15. New constraints on paleoreconstructions through geochronology of mafic dyke swarms in North Atlantic Craton

    Författare :Mimmi Nilsson; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; baddeleyit; U-Pb; geokronologi; large igneous province; mantelplym; superkontinent; paleorekonstruktion; North Atlantic craton; baddeleyite; Large Igneous Province; Mantle plume; supercontinent; paleoreconstruction; U-Pb; geochronology; North Atlantic craton;

    Sammanfattning : Earth history is punctuated by a series of events of supercontinent amalgamation and break-up. Fragments of old continents display rifted margins and orogenic sutures that testify their involvement in supercontinent cycles. LÄS MER
