  1. 11. Graphene field-effect transistors and devices for advanced high-frequency applications

    Författare :Marlene Bonmann; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; traps; graphene; self-heating; field-effect transistors; remote phonons; carrier transport; saturation velocity; microwave devices; impurities and defects;

    Sammanfattning : New device technologies and materials are continuously investigated, in order to increase the bandwidth of high-speed electronics, thereby extending data rate and range of applications. The 2D-material graphene, with its intrinsically extremely high charge carrier velocity, is considered as a promising new channel material for advanced high frequency field-effect transistors. 2. 12. Effects of impurities on charge transport in graphene field-effect transistors

    Författare :Marlene Bonmann; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; carrier transport; electron and hole mobility; impurities; traps; graphene; field-effect transistors; microwave devices; saturation velocity; remote phonons;

    Sammanfattning : In order to push the upper frequency limit of high speed electronics further, thereby extending the range of applications, new device technologies and materials are continuously investigated. The 2D material graphene, with its intrinsically extremely high room temperature charge carrier velocity, is regarded as a promising candidate to push the frequency limit even further. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Monitoring transport and fate of de-icing salt in the roadside environment : Modelling and field measurements

    Författare :Annika Lundmark; Per-Erik Jansson; Bo Olofsson; Ann-Catrine Norrström; Helen K. French; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chloride; De-icing salt; Groundwater; Modelling; Monitoring; Road; Roadside; Soil water; Water in nature and society; Vatten i natur och samhälle;

    Sammanfattning : Roads and traffic are a major non-point source of pollutants and may have severe impacts on surface water, groundwater, soil and vegetation. In cold climates, de-icing salt is one such pollutant that may cause increased chloride concentrations and induce other effects on the environment. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Effects of Pancreatic Surgery : Quality of Life, Cost-effectiveness and Postoperative Results

    Författare :Karin Johansen; Bergthor Björnsson; Per Sandström; Linda Lundgren; Jacob Freedman; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pancreatic surgery; Minimally invasive surgical procedures; Octogenarians; Surgical outcome; Quality of life; Cost-effectiveness analysis; Qualitative research;

    Sammanfattning : BACKGROUND  Pancreatic operations are large procedures with high rates of complications and other potentially impactful consequences such as diabetes and pancreatic exocrine insufficiency. Due to this, and due to the fact that the operations are often occasioned by periampullary tumours with a poor prognosis, it is important to evaluate how the operations affect patients in terms of postoperative results and quality of life. 5. 15. Laser Diagnostic Techniques with Ultra-High Repetition Rate for Studies in Combustion Environments

    Författare :Jimmy Olofsson; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; High-Speed; High Repetition Rate; LIF; PLIF; 3D Visualisation; Engine; Teknik; Technological sciences; Fysik; Physics; Combustion; Laserteknik; Laser technology; Laser-Induced Fluorescence; Laser Diagnostics;

    Sammanfattning : When conducting laser based diagnostics in combustion environments it is often desirable to obtain temporally resolved information. This can be due to several factors such as combustion taking place in a turbulent flow field, flame propagation from a spark plug in an initially quiescent combustible mixture, or rapid, multi-point fuel consumption in a homogeneous charge as a result of compression ignition in an engine cycle.
