  1. 1. PFB Air Gasification of Biomass, Investigation of Product Formation and Problematic Issues Related to Ammonia, Tar and Alkali

    Författare :Nader Padban; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NH3 formation; agglomeration; thermal conversion; PNA; PAH; alkali; tar; Biomass; gasication; ammonia reduction; Chemical technology and engineering; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi;

    Sammanfattning : Fluidised bed thermal gasification of biomass is an effective route that results in 100 % conversion of the fuel. In contrast to chemical, enzymatic or anaerobic methods of biomass treatment, the thermal conversion leaves no contaminated residue after the process. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modeling in Biomass Harvesting, Biomass Pyrolysis and Producer Gas Cleaning

    Författare :Ramiar Sadegh-Vaziri; Matthäus Bäbler; Alessio Frassoldati; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; PBE modeling of flocculation; Pyrolysis in Rotary Kilns; Pellet Pyrolysis; Gas Cleaning; Desulfurization.; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Biomass is a viable alternative in order to mitigate the environmental effectscaused by the aggressive use of fossil feedstock during the last century.This thesis builds around the idea of a biofuel production process that iscomprised of biomass production, biomass gasication, gas cleaning andfuel production. 3. 3. Particle-fluid interactions under heterogeneous reactions

    Författare :Thamali Rajika Jayawickrama; Kentaro Umeki; Henrik Ström; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Stefan flow; drag coefficient; particle-laden flow; reacting flow; Energiteknik; Energy Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Particle-laden flows involve in many energy and industrial processes within a wide scale range. Solid fuel combustion and gasication, drying and catalytic cracking are some of the examples. It is vital to have a better understanding of the phenomena inside the reactors involving in particle-laden flows for process improvements and design.
