  1. 1. Urban Building Energy Modeling for Retrofit Scenarios : Development, Calibration, Validation and Implementation for Swedish Residential Buildings

    Författare :Fatemeh Johari; Joakim Widén; Darren Robinson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Urban building energy modeling; Urban building energy retrofit; Urban energy system; Urban energy planning; Energy performance certificate; Energy efficiency; low-energy cities; Engineering Science with specialization in Civil Engineering and Built Environment; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot byggteknik och byggd miljö;

    Sammanfattning : The necessity for an accelerated transition of urban energy systems and, in particular, the building sector toward energy efficiency and carbon neutrality poses new challenges to planning and retrofitting existing buildings. To cope with these challenges, so-called urban building energy models (UBEMs) have been introduced for quantifying the energy demand in the building sector, identifying the hot spots of energy use and suggesting scenarios for retrofitting the buildings. 2. 2. Probabilistic Calibration of Building Energy Models : For Scalable and Detailed Energy Performance Assessment of District-Heated Multifamily Buildings

    Författare :Lukas Lundström; Erik Dahlquist; Angela Sasic; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : There is a global need to reduce energy consumption and integrate a larger share of renewable energy production while meeting expectations for human well-being and economic growth. Buildings have a key role to play in this transition to more sustainable cities and communities. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Utilization of a GSHP System in a DHC Network : modeling and optimization

    Författare :Anjan Rao Puttige; Thomas Olofsson; Ronny Östin; Staffan Andersson; Javed Saqib; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ground source heat pump; district heating and cooling; optimization; borehole heat exchanger; artificial neural network; hybrid model; field measurements; calibration; heat pumps; prosumer;

    Sammanfattning : The ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) of customers connected to the district heating and cooling (DHC) network can benefit both the customer and the energy company. However, operating the GSHP to minimize the cost of providing heating and cooling to the customer while ensuring the long-term stability of the ground temperature is a challenge. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Improved building energy simulations and verifications by regression

    Författare :Jimmy Vesterberg; Thomas Olofsson; Folke Björk; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Calibrated simulations; Energy signature; Regression; BES; IDA ICE; Multifamily buildings; EUI;

    Sammanfattning : It is common with significant differences between calculated and actual energy use in the building sector. These calculations are often performed with whole building energy simulation (BES) programs. In this process the analyst must make several assumptions about the studied building and its users.
