  1. 1. "Det är i alla fall mitt barn!" : En studie om att vara missbrukare och mamma skild från barn

    Författare :Karin Trulsson; Socialhögskolan; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Mother; addict; everyday life; relationship; separation; child deprivation; life history;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study is to let a group of addicted mothers who live separated from their children voice their thoughts and experiences through in-depth interviews made in the early 90's. From a perspective of experience of life we look at their living conditions, their everyday life, their experiences of pregnancy, their life with the children, and their life after the separation. 2. 2. Molecular Genetic Characterization of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia with a Poor Prognosis

    Författare :Setareh Safavi; Avdelningen för klinisk genetik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Acute lymphoblastic leukemia; hypodiploidy; adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia;

    Sammanfattning : Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) affects individuals at all ages, with peak incidences in children 50 years. ALL is broadly categorized into B-cell precursor (BCP) and T-cell ALL with specific clinical features associated with outcome. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Retinal function in deaf-blind syndromes

    Författare :Eva Malm; Lund Oftalmologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; general anesthesia.; molecular genetics; hearing impairment; full-field electroretinography; Retinal degeneration;

    Sammanfattning : A variety of disorders can cause retinal degeneration and hearing impairment, and it is of great value to have an early diagnosis since there is a large variation in phenotype and prognosis both within and between the different disorders. The general aim of this thesis was to characterize the retinal function, to describe the phenotype, and – where appropriate – to relate the phenotype to genotype in patients with combined visual and hearing impairment. 4. 4. The expression and function of protein kinase C isoforms in differentiating neuroblastoma cells

    Författare :Sofia Fagerström; Institutionen för translationell medicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Neurologi; neurophysiology; neuropsychology; Neurology; p130cas; PKC; fte-1; neuroblastoma; SH-SY5Y cells; growth cones; neuronal differentiation; neuropsykologi; neurofysiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The human neuroblastoma cell line SH-SY5Y can be induced to differentiate into a neuronal sympathetic phenotype after treatment with 16 nM 12-O-tetradecanoyl phorbol 13-acetate (TPA) in serum, or by a combination of the growth factors basic fibroblast growth factor and insulin-like growth factor-I (bFGF/IGF-I). SH-SY5Y cells stably transfected with TrkA, the nerve growth factor (NGF) receptor, differentiate in response to NGF. LÄS MER
