  1. 11. Bonding and Diffusion of Molecules in Zeolites by ESR and ENDOR

    Författare :Haitao Li; Eli Olaug Hole; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis studies bonding and diffusion of molecules in zeolites by Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and Electron Nuclear Double Resonance (ENDOR). In the first part an introduction is given. In the second part (chapter 2) the detailed structure of a Cu2+ complex with water molecules in Cu-ZSM-5 zeolite was characterized with ENDOR at 4 K. 2. 12. Structured Nanoporous Materials for Biogas Upgrading

    Författare :Kritika Narang Landström; Farid Akhtar; Andreas Kaiser; George Shimizu; Marta-Lena Antti; Manuel Moliner Marín; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; nanoporous materials; biogas upgrading; zeolites; metal-organic framework; carbon capture; separation kinetics; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Sammanfattning : Porous materials have shown potential for solving one of the significant challenges to sequestering CO2 gas from point sources. Microporous materials, zeolites and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are porous materials with tailorable adsorptive properties to develop higher performance for an energy-efficient CO2 separation. 3. 13. Partial methane oxidation: insights from first principles and micro-kinetics calculations

    Författare :Adam Arvidsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; zeolite acidity; zeolites; density functional theory; microkinetic modelling; molybdenum sulfide cluster; partial methane oxidation;

    Sammanfattning : Partial methane oxidation is a much-desired reaction with some intriguing challenges. Not only is there a need to activate methane and oxygen, but there is also a need to control the selectivity and prevent over-oxidation to thermodynamically more stable products, like carbon dioxide and water. 4. 14. Nitrous Oxide Formation over Zeolite-based Catalysts during Ammonia-SCR: The Effect of Framework Structure, Acidity, and Copper Content

    Författare :Ghodsieh Isapour Toutizad; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Copper content; In situ IR spectroscopy; Heterogeneous catalysis; N2O; Si Al molar ratio; SCR; Zeolites;

    Sammanfattning : The emission control of anthropogenic nitrous oxide (N2O), a by-product formed  through fossil- and renewable fuel combustion, agricultural activities, and industrial  chemical processes, has attracted large considerations due to its substantial contribution  in global warming and ozone layer depletion. Selective catalytic reduction with  ammonia (NH3-SCR) is the most prevailing technology for the abatement of nitrogen  oxides (NOx) in the exhaust gases from lean-burn processes, with the possible formation  of N2O.
