  1. 1. Green Buildings : Exploring performance and thresholds

    Författare :Magnus Bonde; Svante Mandell; Partick McAllister; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Green Buildings; Energy-Efficient Buildings; EPC; Indoor Environment Quality IEQ ; Real Options Analyses ROA ; Real-Estate Economics; Real Estate and Construction Management; Fastigheter och byggande;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this research project is to study green/energy-efficient real estate from an economic perspective. The thesis summarizes the results from five different studies with a connection to green/energy-efficient real estate. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Low-energy buildings : energy use, indoor climate and market diffusion

    Författare :Johannes Persson; Stefan Grönkvist; Svend Svendsen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building energy simulations; energy efficiency gap; energy use; indoor climate; low-energy buildings;

    Sammanfattning : Low-energy buildings have, in recent years, gained attention and moved towards a large-scale introduction in the residential sector. During this process, national and international criteria for energy use in buildings have become stricter and the European Union has through the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive imposed on member states to adapt their building regulations for ‘Nearly Zero Energy Buildings’, which by 2021 should be standard for new buildings. 3. 3. Methodological aspects of environmental assessment of buildings

    Författare :Tove Malmqvist; Mauritz Glaumann; Göran Finnveden; Raymond J Cole; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; environmental assessment; buildings; tool; environmental performance; property management; Civil engineering and architecture; Samhällsbyggnadsteknik och arkitektur;

    Sammanfattning : The built environment contributes extensively to the overall environmental impact of society. An increasing number of tools have been developed worldwide for comprehensive environmental assessment and rating of buildings in order to make the building sector more sustainable. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Exploring climate impacts of timber buildings : The effects from including non-traditional aspects in life cycle impact assessment

    Författare :Diego Peñaloza; Magnus Wålinder; Matty Janssen; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, buildings are responsible for about 40 % of total energy use and about 10 % of total CO2 emissions Today more than 60 % of existing Swedish residential buildings are over 40 years old and are in need of major renovation. In addition, 15 % of all multi-family buildings and 27 % of all single-family houses were built before 1945. LÄS MER
