16. Contacts on Silicon Carbide by Use of Nickel and Tantalum ---Preparation and Characterisation
Sammanfattning : Silicon carbide (SiC) is one of the attractive semiconductors due to its good electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. It is a promising material for high temperature, high power and high frequency application. Reliable electrodes are always necessary to utilise SiC for electronic devices. LÄS MER
17. Luminescence Properties of ZnO Nanostructures and Their Implementation as White Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, luminescence properties of ZnO nanostructures (nanorods, nanotubes, nanowalls and nanoflowers) are investigated by different approaches for possible future application of these nanostructures as white light emitting diodes. ZnO nanostructures were grown by different growth techniques on different p-type substrates. LÄS MER
18. Cosmic Molecules and Clusters : Knockout Driven Reactions
Sammanfattning : Fullerenes and PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) are two families of carbon based molecules. These are both present in the interstellar medium, and are there believed to play important roles in various processes, including the formation of stars in the case of PAHs. LÄS MER
19. Silicon nitride based coatings for biomedical implants
Sammanfattning : Silicon nitride-based coatings have been proposed as a means to reduce the release of metal ions and debris from metallic implants. This reduction in combination with the biocompatible debris from silicon nitride could result in a less adverse immune response. LÄS MER
20. Experimental Studies of the Neutron Deficient Atomic Nuclei 88Ru and 87Tc, and the Diagonalization of the General Pairing Hamiltonian
Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis consists of two parts: the experimental study of the neutron-deficient atomic nuclei 88Ru and 87Tc, and the computational study on the diagonalization of general pairing Hamiltonian. In the first part, which constitutes the main content of the thesis, the low-lying excited states in the N = Z nucleus 88Ru and N = Z + 1 nucleus 87Tc were studied via fusion-evaporation reactions induced by 115 MeV 36 Ar ions bombarding6 mg/cm 2 thick metallic 54 Fe target foils at the Grand Accélérateur Nationald’Ions Lourds (GANIL), Caen, France.
