  1. 1. Preharvest Conditions Affecting Apple Quality, Antioxidant Responses and Susceptibility to the Infection by Grey mould (Botrytis cinerea)

    Författare :Tuyet Bui Thi Anh; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malus x domestica; grey mould; preharvest weather; apples’ quality; antioxidants; harvest year;

    Sammanfattning : Apple fruits are rich in vitamin C and other antioxidants, which are beneficial for human health. During postharvest storage, there are losses as a result of diseases such as grey mould, caused by the fungus Botrytis cinerea. The present work has investigated how to obtain a high quality of apples, allowing long-term storage. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Microwave-Assisted Air-Dehydration of Fruits and Vegetables Processing Conditions and Product Quality

    Författare :Tomas Funebo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; dielectric properties; pre-treatment; dehydration; permittivity; microwave; fruits; vegetables; multimode;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is focused on aspects of microwave-assisted hot-air drying of fruits and vegetables. The two material coefficients, the relative permittivity (ε) and the loss factor (ε), determine the interaction of microwave energy with foods. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Laser Sensing for Quality Control and Classification – Applications for the Food Industry, Ecology and Medicine

    Författare :Patrik Lundin; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Fysicumarkivet A:2014:Lundin;

    Sammanfattning : Monitoring constitutes a cornerstone, both for efficient control of optimized industrial processes and for obtaining knowledge about non-controlled, natural phenomena. This thesis is all about monitoring, or measurements. In this case the primary information is gathered with light, and in a non-intrusive, and usually a stand-off or remote way. LÄS MER
