1. Photoelectron Spectroscopy on HCl and DCl : Synchrotron Radiation Based Studies of Dissociation Dynamics
Sammanfattning : Dissociation dynamics of the ionized molecules HCl and the deuterated system DCl has been studied in gas-phase using synchrotron based photoelectron spectroscopy (PES).The inner-valence "(4σ)-1" photoionization band for DCl and HCl was recorded using maximum resolution in order to probe an interference pattern between a dissociative and a bound electronic state. 2. Dynamics of optical and X-ray responses of molecules
Sammanfattning : The aim of this licentiatethesis is to investigate by means of theoretical simulationsthe dynamics of light scattering by molecules, with specialemphasis on molecules in gas phase and in solutions. The first part of the thesisconcerns the two-photon absorption (TPA) process in the opticalwavelength region. 3. A Treatise on the Geometric and Electronic Structure of Clusters : Investigated by Synchrotron Radiation Based Electron Spectroscopies
Sammanfattning : Clusters are finite ensembles of atoms or molecules with sizes in the nanometer regime (i.e. nanoparticles). This thesis present results on the geometric and electronic structure of homogeneous and heterogeneous combinations of atoms and molecules. LÄS MER
4. Si negative electrodes for Li-ion batteries : Aging mechanism studies by electrochemistry and photoelectron spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : This thesis is focusing on the challenges when using Si as a possible new negative electrode material in Li-ion batteries. The overall aim is to contribute to a general understanding of the processes in the Si electrode, to identify aging mechanisms, and to evaluate how they influence the cycling performance. LÄS MER
5. Angle-Dependent Electron Spectroscopy Studies of C60 Compounds and Carbon Nanotubes
Sammanfattning : Fullerenes have been shown to constitute a prototypical building block for truly nanometer-sized devices and exotic nanounit-based materials, e.g., high-temperature superconductors. LÄS MER
