Sammanfattning : Health infonnation systems are reported to be weak and inadequate in supporting public health programs, since at the primary health centre, which is the level of first contact, the information infrastructure is weak. This thesis reports a health systems research effort to strengthen the infonnation infrastructure, specifically to develop an application software to support the delivery of maternal and child care at the primary health centre.
