    Författare :Paul Dranichnikov; Peter Cashin; Wilhelm Graf; Martin Rutegård; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; CRS; HIPEC; readmission; EPIC; coagulopathy; VTE; goal-directed therapy GDT ; postoperative hemorrhage; oxaliplatin.; Surgery; Kirurgi; Oncology; Onkologi;

    Sammanfattning : Peritoneal surface malignancy (PM), regardless of the dissemination site, was once considered a terminal condition.  However, the introduction of a surgical approach with cytoreductive surgery (CRS) combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) with or without early intraperitoneal chemotherapy (EPIC) shifted the attitude from managing the symptoms of PM to disease treatment with curative intent. 2. 2. VENOUS THROMBOEMBOLISM IN SOUTHERN SWEDEN EPIDEMIOLOGY AND RISK FACTORS

    Författare :Nazim Isma; Vaskulära sjukdomar - kliniska studier; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; epidemiology; Venous thromboembolism VTE ; risk factors; factor V leiden FVL ; socioeconomic status SES ; upper extremety deep venous thrombosis UEDVT ; haemoglobin Hb ; low molecular weight heparin LMWH ; labour;

    Sammanfattning : Despite the fact that venous thromboembolism (VTE) is an important cause of morbidity and mortality there is still insufficient information on VTE risk factors and patient characteristics in the general population. Previously published incidences of VTE (deep venous thrombosis [DVT] and pulmonary embolism [PE]) vary from 71 to 192 per 100,000 individuals per year. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a relatively common cause of morbidity and mortality. It has an annual incidence of around 0.1- 0.3%. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Identification of genetic biomarkers for the risk prediction of recurrent venous thromboembolism. Risk prediction of recurrent VTE

    Författare :Abrar Ahmad; Allmänmedicin och klinisk epidemiologi; []

    Sammanfattning : Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is the third most frequent life-threatening cardiovascular disease with an annual incidence rate of 1-2 per 1000 person-years. After the diagnosis for primary VTE, about 20-30% patients develop a recurrence within 5-years. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Modifiable risk factors, blood proteins, and venous thromboembolism

    Författare :Shuai Yuan; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Venous thromboembolism (VTE) refers to blood clots in the veins, which is an underappreciated vascular disease that can cause disability and mortality. Although some triggers for VTE (e.g. LÄS MER
