    Sammanfattning : Background: Compared to before the turn of the millennium, adolescents are now less likely to drink alcohol and to engage in heavy episodic drinking, both in Sweden and in many other countries. However, in societies where alcohol is consumed, alcohol-related harm is almost always present and alcohol consumption is still the leading risk factor for mortality and morbidity among 15–24-year-olds and is related to a wide range of adverse consequences.
