1. Polycyclic aromatic nitrogen heterocyclics and organophosphate esters : analytical methodology and occurence in occupational environment
Sammanfattning : .... LÄS MER
2. Organophosphates and phthalates in air and dust from indoor environments : Method development and applied measurements
Sammanfattning : Organophosphate and phthalate esters are polymer additives that are frequently found in air and dust in indoor environments. This thesis describes the development and application of air sampling and selective mass spectrometric (MS) determination of these two compound groups. LÄS MER
3. New methods for determination of airborne pollutants : Focus on tetrabromobisphenol A, organophosphate triesters and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis concerns the development and evaluation of new methods of sampling and analysis of organic pollutants in the indoor and outdoor environment. In Paper I, the development of a new method was reported for the determination of the brominated flame retardant tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) in air using sampling with glass fiber filter and polyurethane foam (PUF), ultrasonic solvent extraction and liquid chromatography coupled to electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (LC-ESI/MS). 4. Assessing human exposure to phthalates, alternative plasticizers and organophosphate esters
Sammanfattning : Phthalate esters (PEs) and organophosphate esters (OPEs) are common indoor pollutants frequently detected in environmental (dust, air), personal (hand wipes, diet) and human matrices (urine, serum etc.). LÄS MER
5. Levels and sources of organophosphorus flame retardants and plasticizers in indoor and outdoor environments
Sammanfattning : Global consumption of organophosphate esters (OPs), which are used as flame retardants and plasticizers, is rapidly increasing. Their use as additives in diverse applications poses a risk as they may be emitted from the products they are added to and be further transported in the environment. LÄS MER
