  1. 16. Preparation and long-term performance of poly(ethylene-co-butyl acrylate) nanocomposites and polyethylene

    Författare :Sohail Nawaz; Ulf Gedde; Mikael Skrifvars; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Polymer nanocomposite; nanoparticles; aluminium oxide; poly ethylene-co-butyl acrylate ; long-term performance; ageing; antioxidant; OIT; aqueous media; silanization; irganox 1010; deltamethrin; piperonyl butoxide; chlorine dioxide; migration of stabilizer; SRA - Production; SRA - Produktion;

    Sammanfattning : The current study discusses the preparation and long-term performance of polymer composites used for various purposes under different ageing conditions.The first part deals with the preparation and characterization of polymer nanocomposites based on poly(ethylene-co-butyl acrylate) (EBA–13 and EBA–28 with 13 and 28 wt % butyl acrylate, respectively) and 2–12 wt % (0. 2. 17. Ocean Climate Variability over Recent Centuries Explored by Modelling the Baltic Sea

    Författare :Daniel Hansson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Baltic Sea; ocean climate; modelling; reconsstruction; water temperature; sea ice; river runoff; salinity; oxygen concentration; long-term;

    Sammanfattning : Natural variability and anthropogenic factors both contribute to changes in the ocean climate of the Baltic Sea. Observations over the past century indicate that changes in environmental settings and ocean climate have taken place, attracting considerable media attention and building public awareness of climate and environmental issues related to the Baltic Sea. 3. 18. Models for capturing the penetration of a diffusant concentration into rubber : Numerical analysis and simulation

    Författare :Surendra Nepal; Adrian Muntean; Nadja Ray; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; transport of diffusants; moving-boundary problem; finite element method; a priori and a posteriori error estimates; random walk method; two-scale coupled system; Matematik; Mathematics;

    Sammanfattning : Understanding the transport of diffusants into rubber plays an important role in forecasting the material's durability. In this regard, we study different models, conduct numerical analysis, and present simulation results that predict the evolution of the penetration front of diffusants. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Novel clean-up, concentration and laser desorption/ionization strategies for mass spectrometry

    Författare :Mohammadreza Shariatgorji; Leopold Ilag; Juan Astorga-wells; Bernhard Spengler; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mass spectrometry; ESI-MS; SALDI-MS; Electrocapture; Sample treatment; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Despite valuable advantages of mass spectrometry (MS) techniques they still have drawbacks that need to be overcome, notably their sensitivity to various kinds of interfering substances and associated difficulties involved in detecting signals from analytes present in trace quantities. Thus, high quality analytical data could be acquired by improving sample pre-treatment techniques and/or ionization methods to increase ionization yields and/or avoid the generation of unwanted ions.
