26. Efficient driving of CBTC ATO operated trains
Sammanfattning : Energy consumption reduction is one of the priorities of metro operators, due to financial cost and environmental impact. The new signalling system Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) is being installed in new and upgraded metro lines to increase transportation capacity. LÄS MER
27. Atomic Layer Deposition and Immobilised Molecular Catalysts Studied by In and Ex Situ Electron Spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : The research work that I describe in my thesis deals with three different heterogenisation approaches for synthesising a heterogeneous transition metal catalyst used for direct C-H activation reactions. The three heterogenisation approaches considered in my research are: (1) heterogenisation of a molecular catalyst on a polymer support using covalent bonds, (2) heterogenisation of a catalyst on a reduced graphene oxide (rGO) support using non-covalent interactions and (3) immobilisation of a catalyst on an inorganic surface using covalent bonds and encapsulation in an inorganic matrix. 28. Maintenance Consideration for Long Life Cycle Embedded System
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the work presented is in relation to consideration to the maintenance of a long life cycle embedded system. Various issues can present problems for maintaining a long life cycle embedded system, such as component obsolescence and IP (intellectual property) portability. LÄS MER
29. Endocrine markers of ovarian function: Clinical and biological aspects with focus on Anti Müllerian hormone
Sammanfattning : Declining birthrates and infertility are now a common problem in the Western World. Due to the tendency to postpone childbearing an increasing age of women who consider motherhood is generally seen. LÄS MER
30. Computational Design of Molecular Motors and Excited-State Studies of Organic Chromophores
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents computational quantum chemical studies of molecular motors and excited electronic states of organic chromophores. The first and major part of the thesis is concerned with the design of light-driven rotary molecular motors. LÄS MER
