1. Wood-fibre composites : Stress transfer and hygroexpansion
Sammanfattning : Wood fibres is a type of natural fibres suitable for composite applications. The abundance of wood in Swedish forests makes wood-fibre composites a new and interesting application for the Swedish pulp and paper industry. LÄS MER
2. Dimensional Stability of Paper : Influence of Fibre-Fibre Joints and Fibre Wall Oxidation
3. Viscous Behaviour of Fibre-filled Liquids
Sammanfattning : Process simulation of discontinuous fibre composites is of importance in automotive industries. The performance of a fibre composite part depends to a great extent on the fibre orientation pattern. LÄS MER
4. Influence of acid hydrogen peroxide treatment on refining energy and TMP properties
Sammanfattning : The potential of using acid hydrogen peroxide under Fenton conditions to lower the electrical energy consumed during the production of Black spruce (Picea mariana) thermomechanical pulp (TMP) was investigated. The chemical system, which consisted of ferrous sulphate, hydrogen peroxide and optionally an enhancer (3,4-dimethoxybenzyl alcohol, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or oxalic acid/sodium oxalate), was evaluated as an inter-stage treatment where the primary refiner was used as a mixer. 5. Hygro- and hydroexpansion of paper : Influence of fibre-joint formation and fibre sorptivity
Sammanfattning : Paper is a versatile, cheap and environment-friendly material. Nevertheless, there are several factors limiting its usefulness, and one of the major issues is that cellulosic and ligno-cellulosic fibres spontaneously sorb water. At the same time, the water uptake changes the dimensions of the paper. LÄS MER
