26. Från el till värme : en diskursanalytisk policystudie av energiomställning på statlig, kommunal och hushållsnivå
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to analyse how space heating for single-family houses, and energy system conversion has been constructed and discussed at national, municipal and household levels. Political documents have been studied, and interviews have been carried out with politicians, civil servants and householders in the municipality of Falun. LÄS MER
27. The future load curve of the Swedish building stock – Interactions between the heating load and district heating
Sammanfattning : In line with global efforts directed against climate change, the building sector is required to undergo significant changes in terms of its energy management. This is the case for both the use of energy (reduced energy consumption) and the supply of energy (heat and electricity), and how these two interact. LÄS MER
28. Tools for Evaluating Energy Efficiency of Steel Production : Lessons from Sweden and Europe
Sammanfattning : The European Union faces challenges related to climate change, security of energy supply, and competitiveness of European industries. Energy efficiency indicators are required for monitoring and controlling the effectiveness of policies such as the recently endorsed Energy Efficiency Directive. LÄS MER
29. Electrification of Road Transportation - Implications for the Electricity System
Sammanfattning : It is incumbent upon the transport sector to reduce its CO2 emissions by replacing fossil fuels with low-carbon alternatives. Suggested strategies include electrification of the road transport sector through the use of electric vehicles (EVs) with static charging, electric road systems (ERS), and the use of electricity to produce fuels. 30. Combined heat and power plant flexibility - Technical and economic potential and system interaction
Sammanfattning : The share of variable renewable energy sources in electricity generation systems is expected to increase, leading to increased variability in the load that must be provided by conventional power plants or other flexibility measures. Thus, thermal power plants need to consider implementation of technical measures that enhance flexibility; to maintain profitability of operation with increased electricity price fluctuation, and to support electricity system stability.
