    Sammanfattning : The original forests of the central and northern highlands of Ethiopia are almost entirely confined to the “sacred groves” surrounding the churches and monasteries of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church. In Ethiopian tradition sanctity starts from the Tabot on the altar of the church and extends to the outer periphery of the compound. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation, based on 14 months of fieldwork carried out in central, northern and north-eastern Thailand, focuses on laypeople's demands on contemporary Thai Theravada sangha. In the aftermath of the economic breakdown in 1997, an intense discussion concerning the moral status of the sangha took place. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deal with the common trait we find in the central parts of the theology of John Wesley and NFS Grundtvig, when we look at them in the perspective of some of the Eastern Greek church fathers and their theology. Wesleys inspiration from Macarius, Clemens of Alexandria, Gregor of Nyssa and other theologians of the early Greek church, and Grundtvigs inspiration from Irenaeus and the Greek Leitorgikón and other Greek theologians have influenced their thinking in the same direction.
