  1. 1. Chemical perspectives on aerosol-cloud interactions in the High Arctic

    Författare :Karolina Siegel; Claudia Mohr; Annica M. L. Ekman; Ilona Riipinen; Ryan Sullivan; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Aerosol chemical composition; DMS oxidation; FIGAERO-CIMS; κ-Köhler theory; High Arctic; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi;

    Sammanfattning : Atmospheric aerosol particles have important yet highly uncertain impacts on the Earth’s climate, with the largest uncertainties residing in the interactions between aerosols and clouds. The extent to which aerosols act as cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) depends on the chemical composition and size of the particles. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Chemical composition of summertime High Arctic aerosols

    Författare :Karolina Siegel; Claudia Mohr; Annica Ekman; Ilona Riipinen; Lise Lotte Sørensen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; aerosol; chemical composition; Arctic climate; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents new insights into the chemical composition of semi-volatile compounds in aerosol samples collected in the central Arctic Ocean close to the North Pole in September 2018. The central Arctic Ocean is an inaccessible location due to the lack of land areas along with heavy pack ice conditions. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Modelling of molybdopterin-dependent enzymes

    Författare :Anders Thapper; Kemiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Inorganic chemistry; enzymes; transition state; intermediate; mechanism; molybdopterin; density functional theory; model systems; oxygen atom transfer; molybdenum; tungsten; Oorganisk kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis deals with models for molybdopterin-dependent enzymes. Several model systems containing molybdenum or tungsten have been prepared and characterised, and their reactivity with oxygen atom acceptors and donors have been investigated. LÄS MER
