    Sammanfattning : The aim of this doctoral thesis is to explore how art was mediated and given meaning in the environment of an urban media culture in Stockholm during the second part of the 18th century.     Sammanfattning : This thesis is a study on the reception history of early modern portraiture, as expressed in Swedish as well as Nordic and German art historiography written 1880-1945. It focuses on the anthropological and anachronic aspects of the encounter between art historian and portrait, which is analysed according to theory on the agency of images. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The main subject of this thesis is the art of Swedish artist Randi Fisher (1920-1997). She was educated at Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm and mainly worked as a painter in many techniques.
