   Sammanfattning : In an unselected series of mentally retarded children in the county of Västerbotten, Sweden, the annual incidence of children with severe mental retardation (SMR) (IQ < 50) and alive at the age of one year decreased from 5.3 per 1,000 in 1959 - 1963 to 3.1 per 1,000 in 1967 -1970.    Sammanfattning : Multiple sclerosis is (MS) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease of central nervous system (CNS) leading to demyelination, axonal damage and neurological handicap, often affecting young adults. A majority of patients with MS initiate their disease with clinical bouts and relapses, but with time convert to a progressive course with dampened signs of CNS inflammation but increasing neurological deficits.
