  1. 11. Stress responses of Arabidopsis plants with a varying level of non-photochemical quenching

    Författare :Hanna Johansson Jänkänpää; Stefan Jansson; Barbara Demmig-Adams; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Arabidopsis; NPQ; PsbS; photosynthesis; field experiment; metabolomics; Physiological Botany; fysiologisk botanik; molekylärbiologi; Molecular Biology;

    Sammanfattning : When light energy input exceeds the capacity for photosynthesis the plant need to dissipate the excess energy and this is done through non-photo-chemical quenching (NPQ). Photochemical quenching (photosynthesis), NPQ and fluorescence are three alternative faiths of excited chlorophylls. PsbS associates to photosystem II and is involved in NPQ. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Epigenomic landscape of Arabidopsis thaliana

    Författare :Trejo Minerva; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The basal unit of information storage in the cell is at the level of the DNA sequence. Dynamic packaging of DNA into chromatin allows additional regulatory layers. Two pairs of each histones H3, H4, H2A and H2B constitute an octamer around which about 146 base pairs of DNA are wrapped to build the basic unit of chromatin: the nucleosome. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Epigenetic Regulation of Light and Hormonal Signaling in Arabidopsis thaliana

    Författare :Kristina Rizzardi; Annika Sundås-Larsson; Katarina Landberg; Johan Memelink; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TERMINAL FLOWER2; auxin; jasmonate; epigenetics; photomorphogenesis; Plant physiology; Växtfysiologi; Biologi med inriktning mot fysiologisk botanik; Biology with specialization in Physiological Botany;

    Sammanfattning : Plants are stationary and need to adapt to the environment they live in. Integration of environmental cues, such as changes in light and temperature, can occur either directly or through the action of hormones. Hormone and light signaling leads to rapid changes in gene expression, and eventually changes in protein levels. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Light-regulated Development in Arabidopsis

    Författare :Dongqing Xu; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Arabidopsis; photomorphogenesis;

    Sammanfattning : Many external and internal factors affect multiple developmental processes in plants. Light is one of the essential factors that regulates various aspects of plant growth and development throughout their life cycle. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Proteomic analysis of Arabidopsis thaliana

    Författare :Irene Granlund; Wolfgang Schröder; Birte Svensson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Proteomic; speclust; post-translational modification; DIGE; plastocyanin; TL29; APX; thylakoid lumen; chloroplast stroma; Biochemistry; Biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : A complete proteome analysis of the chloroplast stroma, using 2D-PAGE, from spinach and Arabidopsis was performed. To improve the identification of proteins a computer program named SPECLUST was used. LÄS MER
