  1. 16. Revealing Electronic Structures of 2D Molecular Crystals and Correlating Them with Optoelectronic Properties

    Författare :Qingqing Wang; Mats Fahlman; Xianjie Liu; Heiko Peisert; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; 2D molecular crystals; Crystal engineering; Electronic structure; Organic field effect transistors;

    Sammanfattning : Electronic band structure serves as the foundation for understanding the physics of semiconductors. The electronic band structure of inorganic semiconductors has been well understood based on ideal single crystal samples, thus actually laid the foundation for the prospering development of inorganic semiconductor devices. 2. 17. Evaluation of NMR Knight shifts in metallic nanoparticles and topological matter

    Författare :Wassilios Papawassiliou; Andrew Pell; Niklas Hedin; Ulla Gro Nielsen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; solid-state NMR; Knight shifts; metallic systems; topological matter; nanoparticles; DFT calculations; Physical Chemistry; fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Elucidating the surface electron states of transition metal compounds is of primary importance in main heterogeneous catalytic processes, such as the hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions.  Key property in all these processes is the position of the energy of the d-band center relative to the Fermi-level of the catalyst; it must be shifted close to the Fermi level to achieve balance between adsorption and desorption of the catalyst and the adsorbate. 3. 18. Electronic and atomic structure of metal induced reconstructionson Si(lll) and Ge(lll) surfaces studied by PES and STM

    Författare :Hanmin M. Zhang; Hanno H. Weitering; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Deposition of metal atoms on semiconductors leads in many cases to reconstructed surfaces. The lack of symmetry in the direction normal to the surface allows for a large variety in the atomic arrangements of the surface reconstructions. In the case of silicon, more than 300 kinds of adsorbate-induced surface reconstructions have been found. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Atomic and Electronic Structures of Clean and Metal Adsorbed Si and Ge Surfaces : An Experimental and Theoretical Study

    Författare :Johan Eriksson; Roger Uhrberg; Karsten Horn; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : In this work, a selection of unresolved topics regarding the electronic and atomic structures of Si and Ge surfaces, both clean ones and those modified by metal adsorbates, are addressed. The results presented have been obtained using theoretical calculations and experimental techniques such as photoelectron spectroscopy (PES), low energy electron diffraction (LEED) and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM).
