    Sammanfattning : Efficient use of nitrogen (N) is essential to decrease negative impacts of agriculture on the environment. This thesis evaluated the nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) of various wheat varieties, identified traits associated with high NUE and investigated the gene NAM-B1 in relation to some of these traits.     Sammanfattning : Slow-milking cows lead to less efficient use of automatic milking systems (AMS) or may hold up the milking process when many cows are milked together in conventional milking parlours (CMP).
