  1. 1. Human-Robot Interaction for Semi-Autonomous Assistive Robots : Empirical Studies and an Interaction Concept for Supporting Elderly People at Home

    Författare :Marcus Mast; Arne Jönsson; Michael Burmester; Jonas Lundberg; Tony Belpaeme; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Semi-autonomous assistive robots; human-robot interaction; user interface design; teleoperation; telemanipulation; elderly people; global environment maps; stereoscopy; Semi-autonoma robotar; människa-robotinteraktion; gränssnittsdesign; distansstyrning; distansmanipulation; äldre; globala omgivningskartor; stereoskopisk;

    Sammanfattning : The research addresses current shortcomings of autonomous service robots operating in domestic environments by considering the concept of a semi-autonomous robot that would be supported by human remote operators whenever the robot cannot handle a task autonomously. The main research objective was to investigate how to design the human-robot interaction for a robotic system to assist elderly people with physical tasks at home according to this conceptual idea. 2. 2. Computer-assisted surgery in children

    Författare :Magnus Anderberg; Lund Pediatrik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; minimally invasive; learning curve; laparoscopy; fundoplication; da Vinci® Surgical System; costs; Children; computer-assisted; paediatric surgery; robot; robotic surgery;

    Sammanfattning : Although positive in terms of patient trauma and recovery time, minimally invasive surgery has several technical drawbacks compared with open surgery. The new da Vinci® Surgical System from Intuitive Surgical® offers technical innovations aiming at overcoming these drawbacks and at improving the surgeon’s operating skills, such as the improved 3-D vision, tremor reduction and flexible instruments with a more natural and intuitive range of motion. 3. 3. Compliance Control of Robot Manipulator for Safe Physical Human Robot Interaction

    Författare :Muhammad Rehan Ahmed; Ivan Kalaykov; Kystof Kozlowksi; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Physical human robot interaction; collision safety; variable stiffness actuators; compliance control; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Automatic control; Reglerteknik; Reglerteknik; Automatic Control;

    Sammanfattning : Inspiration from biological systems suggests that robots should demonstrate same level of capabilities that are embedded in biological systems in performing safe and successful interaction with the humans. The major challenge in physical human robot interaction tasks in anthropic environment is the safe sharing of robot work space such that robot will not cause harm or injury to the human under any operating condition. 4. 4. On intelligent automation systems

    Författare :Endre Erös; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; automated planning; Automation; testing and coverability.; modeling; virtual preparation and commissioning; robot operating system;

    Sammanfattning : Developing automation systems that are capable of handling dynamic and unpredictable situations is a challenging task, as it requires adapting to a changing environment and managing potentially unforeseen action outcomes. In contrast to traditional automation, where control code is explicitly pro- grammed, a model-based approach might be a more appropriate solution for automating such systems. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Toward Dependable Multiple Path Planning for Autonomous Robots with Obstacle Avoidance and Congestion Control

    Författare :Lan Anh Trinh; Mikael Ekström; Baran Curuklu; Lucia Pallottino; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; elektronik; Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : Over decades, automatic robots that are pre-programmed to perform repetitive tasks in industrial production has been reaching the cutting edge of technology. There is emerging the next development with autonomous control, where a robot is able to have some levels of its own decision, i.e. self-governing, without direct controls from humans. LÄS MER
