  1. 1. Supporting evidence-based design using lighting simulations : A framework for lighting simulation of visual comfort in building design

    Författare :Anahita Davoodi; Myriam Aries; Peter Johansson; Thorbjörn Laike; John Mardaljevic; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Lighting quality; visual comfort; lighting simulation; evidence-based design; field study; post-occupancy evaluation; Ljuskvalitet; visuell komfort; ljussimulering; evidensbaserad design; fältstudie; brukarutvärderingar;

    Sammanfattning : This research aims to integrate lighting simulation into the evidence-based design process for achieving improved lighting outcomes in built environments with a particular emphasis on visual comfort analysis in office settings. The objectives of the study include 1) understanding the current usage of lighting simulation tools, learning designers’ experiences' and needs, 2) providing a conceptual framework to integrate the use of lighting simulation in the evidence-based design (EBD) process, 3) testing the usage of the conceptual framework (named EBD-SIM) through two field studies. 2. 2. Lighting Design in Computerised Offices

    Författare :Annika Kronqvist; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with the design of the artificially lighted environment in computerised offices. Its aim is to describe which kind of lighting solution is best suited to accommodate VDT-based tasks, and whether or not working in front of a VDT affects visual comfort and well-being. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Windows and blinds selection for enhancing subjective well-being

    Författare :Elaheh Jalilzadehazhari; Jimmy Johansson; Krushna Mahapatra; Peter Johansson; Myriam Aries; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Subjective well-being; perceived control; controllability; analytical hierarchy process; non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II; Byggteknik; Civil engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Earlier studies in the context of windows and blinds selection have mostly tried to increase the awareness regarding various effects of windows and blinds selection on subjective well-being, including their effect on visual comfort, thermal comfort, energy consumption and life cycle cost. However, the main problem is the potential conflicts between visual comfort, thermal comfort, energy consumption and life cycle cost. LÄS MER

  4. 4. A decision-making framework for enhancing client well-being : When designing windows and blinds

    Författare :Elaheh Jalilzadehazhari; Jimmy Johansson; Krushna Mahapatra; Peter Johansson; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Value creation; Well-being; Multi-criteria decision-making; Analytical hierarchy process; Non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II; Technology acceptance model; Värdskap; Välbefinnandet; Multikriterieanalys vid beslutsfattning; Analytical hierarchy process; Non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II; Technology acceptance model; Forestry and Wood Technology; Skog och träteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The current state of window and blind design moves beyond evaluating a single function, such as energy consumption, to include a human perspective in architectural design approach to create value. A current thought among architects and design professionals is that the highest value outcomes can be obtained when any architectural design contributes to enhanced well-being. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Adaptive behaviour in traffic : An individual road user perspective

    Författare :Sara Nygårdhs; Björn Johansson; Dick de Waard; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Adaptation; road-user; comfort zone;

    Sammanfattning : Road-user adaptation is a prerequisite for traffic to run smoothly. By adaptation, the road user aims to ensure a feeling of comfort according to his or her present state and capability. In this thesis, adaptive behaviour of car drivers and cyclists in response to different factors is explored, using the individual perspective of the road user. LÄS MER
