  1. 16. Longitudinal Force Distribution and Road Vehicle Handling

    Författare :Matthijs Klomp; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ehicle dynamics; quasi steady-state; drive force; combined grip; longitudinal force distribution; combined slip; vehicle handling; optimization;

    Sammanfattning : The distribution of longitudinal forces has a large influence on vehicle handling characteristics such as the driver/vehicle interaction, road holding and yaw stability, in particular during combined traction/braking and cornering near the grip limit of the tires. In order to select and develop suitable driveline systems and associated active control that provide consistent driver/vehicle handling, maximum road holding and sufficient yaw stability margins, it is essential to understand the influence of a particular drive force distribution on these handling characteristics. 2. 17. Carbody and Passengers in Rail Vehicle Dynamics

    Författare :Pelle Carlbom; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Rail-Vehicle Dynamics; Human-Body Dynamics; Ride Comfort; Structural Dynamics;

    Sammanfattning : The carbody plays an important role in rail vehicle dynamics.This thesis aims atdeveloping validated modelling methods tostudy its dynamics, how it is excited on trackand how itinteracts with the passengers. The primary interest is ridecomfort,considering vibrations up to 20 Hz. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Post Impact Vehicle Path Control in Multiple Event Accidents

    Författare :Derong Yang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Accident Analysis; Multiple-Event Accidents; Post Impact; Collision Avoidance; Optimal Path Control.; Vehicle Dynamics;

    Sammanfattning : Recent statistics show that multiple-event accidents (MEAs) possess an increasing fraction of all vehicle traffic accidents. They are characterized by having at least one vehicle subjected to more than one harmful event, such as collision with another vehicle. MEAs now comprise approximately 25% of all passenger vehicle accidents. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Unsteady aerodynamic effects on the driving stability of passenger vehicles

    Författare :Adam Brandt; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; aerodynamics; wake dynamics; high speed; Vehicle dynamics; driving stability; crosswinds;

    Sammanfattning : The passenger car is a vital part of modern society, giving people the freedom of flexible travel. As technology advances, customers increase their demand for future products. The automotive industry must therefore adapt to society's requirements for energy-efficient travel, where developing low-drag vehicles is key. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Vehicle Dynamic Opportunities in Electrified Vehicles for Active Safety Interventions

    Författare :Adithya Arikere; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; rear-end collisions; active safety; vehicle dynamics; obstacle avoidance with oncoming traffic; speed control; electrified drivetrain; torque vectoring; driver assistance systems;

    Sammanfattning : Although the sales of electrified vehicles is growing, studies indicatethat the growth is inadequate to sufficiently reduce CO2 emissions andmitigate global warming. Some form of added incentive is needed to driveelectrified vehicle sales. LÄS MER
