  1. 21. Wind Turbine Drive Train System Dynamics ; Multibody Dynamic Modelling and Global Sensitivity Analysis

    Författare :Saeed Asadi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Global sensitivity analysis; Model validation; Multibody dynamics system mod-elling; Gearbox modelling; Kinematic constraints; Bearing defects detection; Wind turbine drive train dynamics; Floating reference frame;

    Sammanfattning : To facilitate the design and production of highly efficient and reliable wind turbine drive trains, this thesis deals with the mathematical modelling and analysis of drive train system dynamics. The drive train is considered as the subsystem of the wind turbine that transfers mechanical power from the rotor hub to the generator, and thereby plays an important role in the system dynamics and the efficiency of wind turbine operation. 2. 22. Identification and Simulation Methods for Nonlinear Mechanical Systems Subjected to Stochastic Excitation

    Författare :Andreas Josefsson; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; nonlinear structural dynamics; system identification; simulation; non-deterministic excitation; zero-memory nonlinear systems; wave power engineering;

    Sammanfattning : With an ongoing desire to improve product performance, in combination with the continuously growing complexity of engineering structures, there is a need for well-tested and reliable engineering tools that can aid the decision making and facilitate an efficient and effective product development. The technical assessment of the dynamic characteristics of mechanical systems often relies on linear analysis techniques which are well developed and generally accepted. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Simulation-Driven Design of Complex Mechanical and Mechatronic Systems

    Författare :Johan Wall; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Exhaust system; Experimentation; Machine tools; Mechatronics; Optimisation; Product development; Prototyping; Simulation; Structural dynamics;

    Sammanfattning : Effective and efficient product development is critical to business success on the increasingly competitive global market, and simulation has proven to support this in many sectors. The aim of this thesis is to study how properties of complex mechanical and mechatronic systems can be more efficiently and systematically predicted, described, assessed and improved in product development. 4. 24. Simulation and Experimental Methods for Characterization of Nonlinear Mechanical Systems

    Författare :Martin Magnevall; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; nonlinear structural dynamics; simulation; system characterization; experimental techniques; experimental methods;

    Sammanfattning : Trial and error and the use of highly time-consuming methods are often necessary for investigation and characterization of nonlinear systems. However, for the rather common case where a nonlinear system has linear relations between many of its degrees of freedom there are opportunities for more efficient approaches. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : For automotive structures, built-up of hundreds of components with property spread, knowing the effects of component variability and its propagation through the system assembly is important in order to mitigate noise and vibration problems. To increase the understanding of how the spread propagates into variability in built-up structures, both experimental and computational aspects are considered in this thesis. LÄS MER
