    Sammanfattning : Geophysical data and descriptions of deep wells, produced during hydrocarbon explorations in the south-western part of the Baltic Sea offshore Scania, have revealed new information on the geological development of the area. This investigation is concentrated to the offshore triangular segment between the northwest-southeast Permian Sorgenfrei-Tornquist Zone through Scania and the east-west Caledonian Front north of Rügen.     Sammanfattning : Applying the anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility to analogue models provides detailed insights into the strain distribution and quantification of deformation within contractional tectonic settings like fold-and-thrust belts (FTBs).     Sammanfattning : This thesis presents multiproxy reconstructions of the mid to late Holocene climate and environmental changes in the Peloponnese peninsula, SW Greece. The combined dataset consists of diatom, biomarker and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) elemental data in radiocarbon-dated sediment cores taken from the Agios Floros fen and the Gialova Lagoon in SW Peloponnese and the Ancient Lake Lerna in NE Peloponnese.
