21. Interactions between β-haemolytic streptococci and the human host. Heart, skin and beyond
Sammanfattning : Group C and G streptococci (GCS/GGS) and group A streptococci (GAS) belong to β-haemolytic streptococci (BHS). GCS/GGS can further be species determined to S. dysgalactiae, whereas S. pyogenes are GAS. LÄS MER
22. Traceable Information Systems : Factors That Improve Traceability Between Information and Processes Over Time
Sammanfattning : Preservation of information is not a new issue but preservation of digital information has a relatively short history. Since the 60’s when computers began to be used within administration, digital information that has had to be preserved over time. The problem addressed in this research is how to preserve understandable information over time. 23. Exploring beta-mannan acting glycosidase families in hydrolysis and mannosyl transfer
Sammanfattning : The thesis revolves around the study of glycoside hydrolases (GH), specifically GH5 β-mannanases and GH36 α-galactosidase (I-III), as well as a GH130 mannoside phosphorylase (I, IV). These enzymes are investigated for their actions on and conversion of hemicellulosic β-mannan, including food-grade galactomannan and softwood galactoglucomannan, along with manno-oligosaccharides (MOS) derived from such polymers. 24. Dietary fibre production from oat hulls
Sammanfattning : The current threats of climate change connected to the unsustainable consumption of fossil resources paired with an increasing world population demands the exploration of alternative raw materials for the production of food, fuel and specialty chemicals. Agricultural waste streams present suitable sources due to their availability in large quantities at low costs without competing with current food production. LÄS MER
25. Synergy between Photovoltaic Power Generation and Electric Vehicle Charging in Urban Energy Systems : Optimization Models for Smart Charging and Vehicle-to-Grid
Sammanfattning : Cities are responsible for around 75% of global primary energy use and 70% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, with buildings and urban mobility being two key contributors. Actions to reduce GHG emissions have been promoted and implemented in many countries in the world. LÄS MER
