16. Geology, stratigraphy, and fossil vertebrates of Gotland, Sweden : a review
Sammanfattning : The Silurian limestones of Gotland, Sweden, and their exceptionally well-preserved fossils have attracted the interest of scientists for more than 200 years. The sedimentary rocks represent approximately 10 million years of time, and were deposited in a shallow, equatorial inland sea named the Baltic Basin. LÄS MER
17. Boundary Layer Parametrization in Numerical Weather Prediction Models
Sammanfattning : Numerical weather prediction (NWP) and climate models have shown to have a challenge to correctly simulate stable boundary layers and diurnal cycles. This aim of this study is to evaluate, describe and give suggestions for improvements of the descriptions of stable boundary layers in operational NWP models. Two papers are included. LÄS MER
18. On Matching Markets
Sammanfattning : This thesis gives a contribution to matching theory. It examines three one-to-one matching models: the roommate problem, the partnership formation problem and the assignment game. In the former two, it is known that stable matchings may not exist. In the latter, stable outcomes do exist; we examine if they still do if we generalize the model. LÄS MER
19. Premenstrual syndrome : a study of change in cyclicity, severity and sexuality
Sammanfattning : 82 women seeking help for the Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) were successively recruited into a research project on PMS. All of them performed daily self-ratings during one menstrual cycle and 54 of them during two cycles.Including the patients with two rated cycles the change between cycles in cyclicity and preovulatory symptoms was studied. 20. Mechanism of the passive NOx adsorption process on zeolite-supported Pd in controlling cold-start emissions
Sammanfattning : Passive NOx adsorbers (PNA) have been used for preventing NOx emissions being released during a cold start. This method involves trapping NOx on an adsorbent at low temperatures and releasing them later, when the exhaust temperature exceeds 200℃. LÄS MER
