  1. 1. Spectral Inheritance : Unlearning the Maturity-trope

    Författare :Ruben Hordijk; Madina Tlostanova; Edyta Just; Sophie Withaeckx; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Spectral inheritance; Developmental man; Vulnerability; Childhood; Family abolition; Unlearning; Hauntology; Sociogeny; Genealogy; Figurations; Feminist theory; Decoloniality; Continental philosophy; Spektralt arv; Utvecklingsmänniska; Sårbarhet; Avlärning; Hemsökologi; Sociogenes; Genealogi; Figurationer; Feministisk teori; Dekolonialitet; Kontinental filosofi;

    Sammanfattning : Drawing on continental and decolonial feminist philosophy, Spectral Inheritance: Unlearning the Maturity-trope addresses the centrality of the notions of “maturity” and “development” in discussions of human subjectivity, temporality and ethics. Building on Sylvia Wynter’s framework, the dissertation proposes to read the Euromodern genres of Man in developmental terms. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modeling and Model Reduction by Analytic Interpolation and Optimization

    Författare :Giovanna Fanizza; Anders Lindquist; György Michaletzky; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytic Interpolation theory with a degree constraint; rational covariance extension problem; spectral estimation; model reduction; optimization; passive system; Optimization; systems theory; Optimeringslära; systemteori;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of six papers. The main topic of all these papers is modeling a class of linear time-invariant systems. The system class is parameterized in the context of interpolation theory with a degree constraint. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Peakflow response of stream networks : implications of physical descriptions of streams and temporal change

    Författare :Anna Åkesson; Anders Wörman; Alberto Viglione; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Streamflow routing; peakflow predictions; parameterization; hydrological response; stage-dependency; flooded cross-sections; stream networks; backwater effects; temporal change; land use change; Civil and Architectural Engineering; Byggvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Through distributed stream network routing, it has quantitatively been shown that the relationship between flow travel time and discharge varies strongly nonlinearly with stream stage and with catchment-specific properties.Physically derived distributions of water travel times through a stream network were successfully used to parameterise the streamflow response function of a compartmental hydrological model. 4. 4. Prediction of random vibration using spectral methods

    Författare :Fredrik Birgersson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Spectral finite element method; distributed excitation; turbulent boundary layer measurements; random vibration; spectral super element method; wave expansion difference scheme; fluid-structure interaction;

    Sammanfattning : Much of the vibration in fast moving vehicles is caused bydistributed random excitation, such as turbulent flow and roadroughness. Piping systems transporting fast flowing fluid isanother example, where distributed random excitation will causeunwanted vibration. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Spectral analysis and magnetic resonance spectroscopy

    Författare :Tomas Sundin; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Nonparametric spectral analysis; magnetic resonance spectroscopy; parameter estimation; maximum likelihood estimation; nonlinear least squares; Signal processing; Signalbehandling; Signal Processing; Signalbehandling;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation is concerned with nonparametric approaches for spectral analysis (SA) and algorithms for magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) data analysis.A method to obtain the optimal smoothing window for the class of SA methods based on local smoothing of the periodogram is proposed.
