  1. 11. Annoyance, quality- and safety aspects of sound in truck cabins

    Författare :Anders Genell; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; spectral balance; low frequency; product sound quality; annoyance;

    Sammanfattning : For heavy vehicles the interior sound environment is still more or less just apassive result of the engineering of the different parts that make up the vehicle,although measures are taken to keep sound pressure level within legislatedboundaries. Additionally, the sound inside truck cabins is dominated by itslow frequency (LF) content, and is hence prone to impair task performance andreduce wakefulness as well as cause general annoyance and different adversehealth effects. 2. 12. Views of Research Quality in Empirical Software Engineering

    Författare :Jefferson Seide Molléri; Kai Petersen; Emilia Mendes; Yvonne Dittrich; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Research Quality; Quality Standards; Empirical Software Engineering; Research Methodology;

    Sammanfattning : Background. Software Engineering (SE) research, like other applied disciplines, intends to provide trustful evidence to practice. To ensure trustful evidence, a rigorous research process based on sound research methodologies is required. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Determining the quality of natural gas and biomethane : Development of a correlative method and instrument prototype for measuring gas quality

    Författare :Taras Koturbash; Vladimir G. Kutcherov; Andrew R. Martin; Khaled Loubar; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Natural gas; biomethane; calorific value; Wobbe Index; ultrasonic measurement; sound attenuation; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The composition of natural gas highly depends on its origin: natural gas from various deposits, substitute natural gas that can be produced from fossil fuels or renewable sources. The intermixing of gases from various supply sources during pipeline transportation also leads to more complicated and unpredictable gas composition variations at the consumption site. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Wind Turbine Sound in Cold Climates

    Författare :Kristina Conrady; Anna Rutgersson; Karl Bolin; Sabine von Hünerbein; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; atmospheric acoustics; wind turbine sound; outdoor sound propagation; cold climates; Meteorology; Meteorologi;

    Sammanfattning : The increase in the number of wind turbines (WTs) in populated areas in cold climates increases the number of people potentially being affected by WT sound. Outdoor sound propagation is strongly dependent on meteorological conditions, however, limitations in the knowledge exist regarding the implications of meteorological conditions in cold climates. 5. 15. Factors Governing Acoustical Comfort In Vehicle Compartments

    Författare :Oliver Jung; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Driving Noise; Lombard Effect; Sound Quality; Psychoacoustics; Acoustical Comfort; Emotions; Vehicle Acoustics; Speech Communication; Cognition Psychology; Speech Quality;

    Sammanfattning : A pleasant interior sound field is an essential comfort criterion for vehicle occupants.The pleasantness is mainly influenced by a low overall sound pressurelevel. Further minimization of driving noise, however, is constricted on thelower end by physical limitations. LÄS MER
