  1. 1. Annoyance, quality- and safety aspects of sound in truck cabins

    Författare :Anders Genell; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; spectral balance; low frequency; product sound quality; annoyance;

    Sammanfattning : For heavy vehicles the interior sound environment is still more or less just apassive result of the engineering of the different parts that make up the vehicle,although measures are taken to keep sound pressure level within legislatedboundaries. Additionally, the sound inside truck cabins is dominated by itslow frequency (LF) content, and is hence prone to impair task performance andreduce wakefulness as well as cause general annoyance and different adversehealth effects. 2. 2. Perception of Sound and Vibration in Heavy Trucks

    Författare :Anders Genell; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; spectral balance.; meaning; low frequency; product sound quality; annoyance; emotional reactions;

    Sammanfattning : Interior truck cabin sound has for some time been a concern for manufacturers. Today reasonably low sound pressure levels have been achieved using passive absorption. However low frequency sound is difficult to passively absorb and will hence dominate the interior sound. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Tyre-road Interaction: a holistic approach to noise and rolling resistance

    Författare :Tiago Vieira; Sigurdur Erlingsson; Ulf Sandberg; Anders Genell; Hans Jonasson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pavement; surface; texture; noise; rolling resistance; tyre; Vägbeläggning; vägyta; textur; buller; rullmotstånd; däck; Byggvetenskap; Civil and Architectural Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Energy dissipation, fuel consumption, real-estate property prices and health issues are some of the aspects related to the tyre/pavement interaction and its functional properties of rolling resistance and noise. The first two aspects are affected by the tyre/road interaction as energy is dissipated mostly by hysteretic losses as the tyre is subjected to dynamic deformations when contacting the pavement surface.
