11. Electronic Cash and Hierarchical Group Signatures
12. Breast cancer : Multifocality, heterogeneity, and related genetic signatures
Sammanfattning : Breast carcinoma often exhibits a complex subgross morphology and may occupy a large volume of the breast tissue and show unifocal, multifocal or diffuse growth patterns. Expression of estrogen- and progesterone receptors, HER2 overexpression, tumor grade, and proliferative activity allows us to classify breast carcinoma into molecular subgroups (Luminal A, Luminal B, HER2-type, triple negative, and basal-like). 13. DNA methylation signatures in precursor lymphoid neoplasms : with focus on clinical implications & the biology behind
Sammanfattning : Precursor lymphoid neoplasms, namely acute lymphoblastic leukemias (ALL) and lymphoblastic lymphomas (LBL), are characterized by an aggressive proliferation of malignant progenitor B- or T-cells. To improve risk classification at diagnosis, better prognostic and treatment stratifying biomarkers are needed. LÄS MER
14. Analyses of genomic and gene expression signatures
Sammanfattning : Biology has entered a challenging, information-intense period where computational experiments are complementing traditional experiments. A plethora of new techniques have allowed biological processes to be investigated on a global scale. LÄS MER
15. Astrophysical and Collider Signatures of Extra Dimensions
Sammanfattning : In recent years, there has been a large interest in the subject of extra dimensions in particle physics. In particular, a number of models have been suggested which provide solutions to some of the problems with the current Standard Model of particle physics, and which could be tested in the next generation of high-energy experiments.
